Mah-Ze-Dahr bakery was on my list of bakeries to try in Manhattan. We stopped here on the 3rd of July and sadly they were closed. There was no info online about it being closed. Even their voicemail had no info about it being closed. Thankfully, Dominique Ansel Bakery was nearby to ease the pain!! So we had to stop here on our last day. By the time we got there late in the afternoon they were out of a few things. Service was friendly.
Brioche Doughnut
I don’t know if it was my husband’s cool hat or the fact that it was towards the end of the day that we received three doughnuts on the house. I guess that made up for the fact that they were closed without a notice on the 3rd and Fourth of July. Even though I warmed it up in the oven the next day, it still tasted pretty good. It had a vanilla pastry creme in the middle.
Heavenly Cheesecake
This cheesecake was highly recommended by a foodie online and I am glad it lived up to the hype. It was light and airy with a hint of lemon and had a chocolate crust. They only had one slice left so it was meant to be mine.
Coffee Cake
My husband’s pick. It was good but he could have picked a more interesting treat.
