Pastrami Gravlax and Egg Plate
I was interested in their fish sandwich, but they serve that after 11 am. I was debating between the herb gravlax and the pastrami gravlax so I asked the counter girl for help. As you can see I chose the pastrami and it was pretty silky and had a great salmon flavor, but a little salty as expected. It also came with delicious labneh, crunchy cucumber, radish, flavorful sprouts and perfectly cooked egg. The only miss was the bread, it was just plain country bread. I would have preferred a more nutty darker bread for this dish and traditionally you should serve this kind of fish with a dark rye bread.
Smoked Brisket and fried Egg Plate
My husband really enjoyed his luscious brisket and the bite I took was very good. Why can’t everyone make a brisket as flavorful as this. He was not happy with his tiny egg, but enjoyed the roasted peppers and the fermented cabbage. Funny enough his dish came with a heartier bread.
Chocolate Custard Pie
The crust was pretty good, but the pie as a whole was nothing to sing about and was on the sweet side.
We also got the Baklava Croissant and the Pain au Chocolat. We had them the next day and baklava was the favorite. The only complain I have is that they have been open for a few months now and still some of their menu boards items are missing the prices. My husband didn’t ask for a receipt, so we don’t know how much we were charged for everything. Next time I ask for a receipt and watch them as they work the register.
